MTO Wins Prestigious Ida Gray Award in Michigan!

The film has been awarded with a great honor through the prestigious Dental School of the University of Michigan. Film’s producer, Dr. Shahrzad Maghsoudloo Mirafzali and student/cast member, Hussain Haider were presented with the Ida Gray Award for their roles in promoting and celebrating diversity through the film, Me, The “Other”. The award is named for Dr. Ida Gray, the first African American woman in the country to earn a DDS when she graduated from the School of Dentistry in 1890. She was also the first black woman to practice dentistry in Chicago. Congratulations to Shahrzad and Hussain, and the 200+ advocaters of inclusion and diversity who came together to create this film to inspire unity in community.
