All proceeds from video sales go to Our House, Michigan, until June 18th.

Join us at MTO Club: “Otherness Is Never One Thing” to explore what it feels like to be “othered” in this world. Moderators include Dr. Farid Holakouee, social omnipreneur and community developer Shalonda Ingram, Dr. Muni Tahzib, MTO co-producer and director Shidan Majidi and MTO script supervisor Catherine Chapman. Through sharing our stories, we hope to find “me” in the “other” and to find connection rather than isolation.

Me, The “Other” Virtual Premiere with host, social omnipreneur Shalonda Ingram, and featuring special guests: President of the American Research Universities Human Resources Institute, Laurita Thomas; Finance and DEI Lead at Michigan Medicine, Steve Vinson; Executive Director Natasha Doan-Motsinger and resident youth of Our House (Michigan); MTO co-producer and director Shidan Majidi; and MTO cast member Tommy Gayfield. Together, we will look at the journey from otherness to oneness.
Dr. Farid Holakouee is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a public speaker. He is the host of the radio show/podcast “In Session with Dr. Farid Holakouee” on Radio Hamrah.
Shalonda Ingram is a social omnipreneur, strategist and community developer, committed to elevating consciousness and empowering the collective liberation of individuals, organizations and communities.
Dr. Muni Tahzib, has been a practicing physician for over 25 years, in 9 different countries. She is the founder of Love4 volunteer medical relief responses to various regions (Haiti, Sandy, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, The Gambia, Navajo Nation) and recently founded HumanitarianMD. Currently she works in NYC and was one of the frontline physicians during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Natasha Doan-Motsinger is Executive Director of Our House, Michigan, which helps Washtenaw County teens and young adults successfully transition from foster care to adulthood.

Our House in Washtenaw County, Michigan helps young people successfully transition from foster care to adulthood and to become successful and self-sufficient and be able to live independently with confidence. At MTO, we love that Our House provides a community that cares for young people.
Laurita Thomas is President of the American Research Universities Human Resources Institute as well as Special Counsel to the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the University of Michigan. From 2004 to 2019, she was Associate Vice President at the University of Michigan. Throughout her career in higher education, the financial industry, and healthcare, service was a key part of her leadership approach and she long supported various civic, non-profit and professional organizations and she was known to create environments where people thrive, partnerships prevail, and performance excels.
Steve Vinson started his professional career at Michigan Medicine in 1995 and is currently working as a Business Analyst and a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Lead for the organization. His impactful DEI workshops at U-M earned him the Office of Health, Equity and Inclusion’s inaugural DEI Advocate Award in April 2018; and the Voices of the Staff Champion Award in 2019. Currently, Steve represents staff on the Workplace Innovation Staff Experience Committee and Anti-Racism Oversight Committee.
Tommy Gayfield and his family reside in Colorado, where he works as a Strength & Conditioning Coach for South Metro Fire Rescue (firefighters). His wife, Meghan, is thriving in her career in the dental field and loves being a mom of three. The couple is now into their 7th year of marriage and going strong, and they hope to continue to represent that love is color-blind. The Gayfield kids Malaiki (13), Morgan (13), and Rio (2) are excelling in school and sports. Since the MTO documentary, Tommy has reconnected with his father and began nurturing a healthy relationship. Tommy continues to teach his children the importance of having values, integrity, family and most importantly faith.
Shidan Majidi is director and co-producer of Me, The “Other” and Founder and Managing Member of Sugar Cube Productions, LLC. He has worked in the New York film and theater industries since 1991. While volunteering with an after school project focused on inner city youth telling their own stories through theatre, he realized he was inspired to create The One People Project, an award-winning conflict resolution based “Reality Theatre Project.” In 2020, he co-produced and directed a music video featuring Broadway and American Idol stars to honor frontline healthcare workers in this age of Covid-19.
Catherine Chapman is story shaper/script writer of Me, The “Other” and its trailer. She is program creator and associate producer at Sugarcube Productions. In 2020, she created, wrote and performed two one-person online plays and one audio-immersive play.
